          Calendar      Ladder       Round by Round

There are ten races over the course of the season from April until mid September with a mixture of road races and cross country with six individual events ranging in distance from 8km up to 21km as well as four relay races ranging from 3.8km up to 6km.
All in all it is an extremely enjoyable way to stay fit within a positive and supportive Athletics Nunawading team environment that welcomes people of all standards and abilities. Come and have a run!

ANW Trophies:
Mark has introduced a new calculation for Trophies: Points are determined by calculating the Age-Performance percentage for each athlete which are then rounded to the nearest whole number. In the event of a tie, they will be recalculated to two decimal places. Ages are determined in line with the AV criteria of age at 01st April for seniors and 31st December for juniors. The worst(!) result will be excluded from the total for each athlete. So in other words, the best 9 out of 10 for seniors and the best 7 out of 8 for juniors.

As always, if you know someone interested in joining in the fun then please keep them informed. We are just one or two runners short of filling teams in Womens Open, U18 and Mens U20 so if you want a run, give us a try and be part of a team. Of course, other runners are welcome to join the fun.
If you would like to run in XCR this year, become a Nunarunna! We have quite a few teams and you will be able to find a team that suits your ability.

Tired of being an 'also ran' at your club? Fulfil your potential and give Nuna a go! Join us from April 1st.
If you want more info, then please contact us via our email address and our XCR Coordinator will get in touch with you.
Join us for some good running and be part of a successful team. New members welcome to join our successful teams.

Round 6:  Andrew Scott’s Albert Park race report

Despite an ordinary weekend of Melbourne weather, the runners seemingly got the best of the conditions for the 9.00am at Albert Park, the temperature was a mild 8 degrees and there was a light headwind that greeted the runners as they hit the turnaround point at the St Kilda 2nd of the two lap course.  More...

Round 5:  Andrew Scott’s Sandown race report

Round five was the third relay event for the season with all team members running two laps of the 3.1km Sandown circuit. Nunawading had 15 runners across four teams and pleasingly the conditions were both runner and spectator friendly in terms of the temperature and sunshine, albeit with the usual headwind that buffets the runners as they entered, they home straight on each of the two laps. Round 4: Andrew Scott’s Anglesea race report

Round four of the ten-round competition was the fourth consecutive 'off road' course which provided the most challenging conditions that runners have encountered this season. Recent rain made it a slippery deck in parts, this combined with the varying gradient and mix of road, path, trail and boardwalks meant that runners needed to exercise caution and patience when negotiating what lay in front of them.  More....
