How to enter the competition with Athletics Nunawading:

The ANW footy tipping competition is on again this year. We’d love to see as many people as possible join in the fun and beat your fellow club members.

Entry fee is $25 and is paid electronically to our bank account (details below).

Prizes are awarded to the top 3 place getters (last year the winner scored $200).

We have prizes at various stages throughout the rounds plus end of competition so you don't have to win the overall competition to have some fun. You can join up even though the competition has started so contact Adam for more info.

Winners for 2014

Congratulations to Marty Duriska and Daniel Bowden, joint winners of the Nuna footy tipping and who get to split first and second place prize money of $350 in total. Third place prize of $50 went to Joe Mariniello, who did well to get so close considering he kept picking the Magpies.

Winners for 2013:

Les Burgess was a clear winner, just upsetting Club Registrar Gavin Williams by 1 point. Gavin likes to come second..

In a close finish we had former Vice President Jeff Broderick 3rd on 147, followed by Cam Nicholls and Joe Marinello on 146. Last year’s winner Daniel Bowden was well off the pace with 145!

Rounds 1 – 8: Gavin Williams and Cameron Nicholls

Rounds 9 – 16: Joyce May and Martin Duriska

Rounds 17 – 23: Joe Marinello

Winners for 2012:

The footy tipping turned out to be a walk in the park for Daniel Bowden with a winning score of 153 from Daniel Brock (150) and Gavin Williams (149). Congratulations to Daniel whose older sister Stephanie won the competition last year. It’s a terrible pity that their father never sees a cent of the winnings, even though he pays for their entry! The winner of the “third round of eight” was Nick Hopkins, picking 52 winners. Thanks to all our tipsters for their support and to our tipping coordinator, Adam McCann.

Congratulations to Stephanie Bowden winning by a single game (145) from perpetual runner-up Joe Mariniello (144) and Nick Hopkins 3rd on 143.
