Note that our awards are decided on the basis of the number of points gained by athletes for the club, rather than elite performances although often these overlap.
John Murray Trophy
This trophy goes to the overall club champion athlete.
Ken Cleaver Trophy
This trophy is awarded to the 'best club person' and does not necessarily go to an athlete. The trophy can be awarded to a hard working official or committee person, or a coach that is always there to help out, or to someone who works tirelessly for the club. It can also be for an athlete who has worked particularly hard for the club, turns up regularly and, irrespective of ability, competes in as many events as they can.
The trophy winners are selected by the Committee.
Geoff Cohen Trophy: Having been filled, it is now ‘retired’ to the Trophy Cabinet. It is replaced by the John Murray Trophy.
Graham Annand Trophy: Having been filled, it is now ‘retired’ to the Trophy Cabinet. It is replaced by the Ken Cleaver Trophy.
