Some of our athletes who were former Little Athletes coach at Little Athletics Nunawading so if you are U13-U15 go along and meet them, then come and try seniors. Some of our coaches may also be interested in Schools coaching - just ask!
Ken Cleaver - retired coach after 30+yrs Ken has been one of our club coaches for many years and been successful in getting many athletes to State and National Championships and Titles, as well as our Teams into Shield Finals. Specialities were long&short hurdles and sprints but he coached other disciplines as well. He has been a extremely valuable coach for our club for many years, going back to the time when he coached at the Nunawading Women’s Athletics Club before it merged with the Men’s Club to become Athletics Nunawading. He will be missed!
Adam McCann - first contact Adam has been involved in athletics in some form continuously for around 30 years, all of this time with Nunawading clubs. He currently has a Level 2 coaching qualification for Sprints, Hurdles and Relays and can coach any running events over any distance. Training for the summer season usually starts late June and runs through until championships are completed. Training nights are Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from about 5:30pm with a training program put together for the whole week. Adam’s coaching sessions are perfect for those starting out in athletics and wanting some guidance on what is required to improve your performance. For further information contact Adam via email.

Wayne James - Sprints Wayne was awarded the 2012 Whitehorse Coach of the Year. His fantastic work with our Juniors has finally been recognised. You can see from the number of titles and the improvements in his squad that the reward is long overdue. Wayne also took 8th place in the 2012 Victorian Junior Championships Track Coaches Competition based on the results of our junior track stars.

Russell coaches an elite group of Long Jumpers, including Victorian Champions Brooke
and Jamie, Victorian U20 Junior Champion Kristy and 2013 runner up in U18 Luke. Brooke
is also an Olympian, 2016 Australian Champion and Commonwealth games representative
in Long Jump.
