Nathan Burgess

World Junior - Marrakech 2005

World Youth  - Beijing 2006

Nathan was a little younger than in this photo

when he competed in 2005/06.

He was our sole representative in those years

and still shows some promise in the Javelin.

Shawn Forrest

World Junior - Kingston 2002

World Championships - Moscow 2013

Long time club member, but residing overseas to further his ambitions, Shawn was selected for the Mens Marathon at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. He previously represented Australia in the 1500m and 5000m at the  2002 IAAF World Junior Championships. Shawn just missed out on Olympic selection in 2012 for the Marathon.

Kyle’s Silver Medal in the Under 20 10,000m Walk in the 2015 Australian Junior Championships at just 15 years of age catapulted him into selection for the World Youth Championships. Nunawading’s youngest ever International Athlete?

His selection caps a tremendous year of competition including winning the Victorian Junior Championship U17 5,000m Race Walk - breaking Jared Tallent’s U16 Victorian record in the process.

World Race Walking Cup - Rome 2016

Tayla-Paige gets her automatic World U20  selection when she won the 2016 Australian Junior Under 20 10000m Walk title in Perth.
